What Sets Successful People Apart From The Rest: Single Mindedness

There is one trait that totally sets successful people apart from the rest of the other people. This one trait made them rise above the rest and is very well respected by many people. What is it?
The trait that I am talking about is Single-mindedness. All successful people know what they want in their hearts, are very purposeful and single minded in reaching their aspirations. Few people actually know what they want, fewer people actually stay true to their purpose. They get caught up with many other things in life that they lose sight of what really matters and give-in to everything that shouts for their attention.
Why be single-minded and focused? Let me share with you reasons why you cannot afford not to do it:
1. It keeps us disciplined.
The ability to say “NO” to the distractions around you and being clear to move forward is extremely important. This helps you to be focused and clear the clutter on what inattention brings. We also become very purposeful in setting aside time to what’s most important and continue to see it through. It is my firm believe is that you can only say NO when you have a clear strategy/purpose.
2. It yields results.
Being single-minded is not being inflexible, but knowing that you have very clear on the end goals. When I first started my business in training, I wanted to do everything. I started training in eight different topics and this got me nowhere. Much later, I understood the importance of concentrating in being the best I could be and I literally struck off many programs to just concentrate in two core areas; motivation and teambuilding. The results were astonishing! I started to be noticed by magazine writers, newspapers and even was had the chance to speak and train in six different countries around Asia. You need to hold on to your firm convictions and not be easily swayed. Keep working on it and find out how to make it work!
3. It pays well.
Jim Collins, in his book, Good to Great, highlights how companies moved to greatness by just perfecting what they are good at. Their generated cumulative stock returns from end 1975 to 2000 outperformed the market by 15 times, beating great companies such as GE, Coca-Cola and Intel. By just concentrating in relocating all their stalls into convenient locations, using clustering methods (sometimes up to nine stores in a mile), drive through pharmacies and even high margin photo processing services, they increased the profit per customer visit. More convenience led to more customer visits and when multiplied with the increased profits per visit, it threw cash into their company.
I hoped I have given you compelling reasons to start being single-minded. Start small by deciding to keep to the things you have decided and not waiver on them. Then move on to bigger decisions which involve your life, family and career.

to achieve the endless movement of strength, you must decide and not look back.

Look Me In The Eyes - Jordan Commercial

I have something more important than courage
I have patience
I will become what I know I am

-michael jordan

to write love on her arms

The vision is that we actually believe these things…
You were created to love and be loved.  You were meant to live life in relationship with other people, to know and be known. You need to know that your story is important and that you're part of a bigger story.  You need to know that your life matters.
We live in a difficult world, a broken world.  My friend Byron is very smart - he says that life is hard for most people most of the time.  We believe that everyone can relate to pain, that all of us live with questions, and all of us get stuck in moments.  You need to know that you're not alone in the places you feel stuck.
We all wake to the human condition.  We wake to mystery and beauty but also to tragedy and loss.  Millions of people live with problems of pain.  Millions of homes are filled with questions – moments and seasons and cycles that come as thieves and aim to stay.  We know that pain is very real.  It is our privilege to suggest that hope is real, and that help is real.
You need to know that rescue is possible, that freedom is possible, that God is still in the business of redemption.  We're seeing it happen.  We're seeing lives change as people get the help they need.  People sitting across from a counselor for the first time.  People stepping into treatment.  In desperate moments, people calling a suicide hotline.  We know that the first step to recovery is the hardest to take.  We want to say here that it's worth it, that your life is worth fighting for, that it's possible to change.
Beyond treatment, we believe that community is essential, that people need other people, that we were never meant to do life alone.
The vision is that community and hope and help would replace secrets and silence.
The vision is people putting down guns and blades and bottles.
The vision is that we can reduce the suicide rate in America and around the world.
The vision is that we would learn what it means to love our friends, and that we would love ourselves enough to get the help we need.
The vision is better endings.  The vision is the restoration of broken families and broken relationships.  The vision is people finding life, finding freedom, finding love.  The vision is graduation, a Super Bowl, a wedding, a child, a sunrise.  The vision is people becoming incredible parents, people breaking cycles, making change.
The vision is the possibility that your best days are ahead.
The vision is the possibility that we're more loved than we'll ever know.
The vision is hope, and hope is real.
You are not alone, and this is not the end of your story.

im not a member and i just wanted to share the great deal of help these people give to those who need them.

quote of the day

"be patient and strong. for someday, your pain will be useful to you"

go ahead, be brave

its human to be angry, to be bitter sometimes, to think of revenge and to hate those that hurt you.

but all this consumes up your life. are they even worth it?

yeah, its human. but its neither intelligent nor reasonable.

respect your time in this world,

understand that you are also a child of God,

go on. let them go. be brave and be on your way.

Life Is How Hard You Can Get Hit & Keep Moving Forward

this is a scene from the the movie rocky starring silvester stallone.
He is discussing life about his son.

move forward. move forward endlessly.

clip from YOUTUBE

my human heart delights in facing an obstacle, learning that obstacle and overcoming that obstacle.

how about you? dont you think its better to move  with strength than be left  alone

with pain?

same goal, different paths

Losers are losers because their goal in life is to be comfortable. Winners are winners because their goal in life is to achieve great things, which will then make them feel comfortable. Losers and winners want the same thing, but they take different paths.
so would you rather lose, or win?

John Maxwell's 4 rules to treat failures

1. There are no such thing as failures, only lessons.

2. The lesson continues until you learn.

3. If you do not learn the lesson it gets harder.

4. You will know you have learned the lesson when you change your actions.

now that you are aware what to do, start moving!!!

Break This Glass (excerpt from "The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept")

The wine made things easier for him. And for me.
“Why did you stop suddenly? Why will not you talk about God, the Virgin, the spirit world?”
“I want to talk about another kind of love,” he insisted, “that a man and a woman share, and which also manifests miracles.”
I held his hand. He knew about the great mysteries of the Goddess, but he knew about as much about love as much as I; even though he had traveled so far.
And he would have to pay a price: the initiative. Because the woman pays the highest price: the surrender.
We held hands for a long time. I could see in his eyes the ancient fears that true love creates and proves. I read the memory of rejection from the previous night, the long time spent apart, the years in the monastery in search of a world where these things did not happen.

I could see in his eyes the thousands of times I could have imagined this moment, the scenarios built around us, the color of our hair and the color of my clothes. I wanted to say "yes", he would be welcome, that my heart had won the battle. I wanted to say how much I loved him, how much I desired the moment as well.
But I kept silent. I watched, as if in a dream, his inner struggle. I saw that he had before him my "no", the fear of losing me, the harsh words he had heard in similar moments - because we all go through it, and accumulate scars.
His eyes began to shine. He knew I was winning all those barriers.
So I released one hand, grabbed a cup and put it at the edge of the table.
“It’s going to fall,” he said.
“Exactly. I want you to fall,” I said.
“By breaking a glass?” he asked.
“Yes, by breaking a glass. A seemingly simple gesture, but it involves fears that we will never come to understand,” I responded. “What’s wrong with breaking a cheap glass, when we have all done this without meaning to at some point in our lives?”
“Breaking a glass?” he repeated, “Why?”
“I can give some explanations,” I answered, “but to be truthful it’s only for the sake of breaking it.”
“For your sake?”
“Of course not.”
He looked at the glass on the edge of the table , I could tell he was worried about it falling.
I wanted to say that it's a rite of passage, as he’s often said. That it's forbidden. That glasses do not break it on purpose. That when we walk into restaurants or into our homes, we are always careful to move the glasses that are on the edge of the table. Our world requires us to make sure that the glasses do not fall on the floor.
However, I kept thinking, when broken by accident, we see that it was not so serious. The waiter says "don’t worry about it", and I’ve never seen a broken glass be billed on a restaurant tab. Breaking glasses is a part of life and do not cause any harm to us, the restaurant, or the next person to sit at that table.
I took a bump on the table. The glass shook, but did not fall.
“Be careful!” he said instinctively.
“Break the glass,” I insisted.
Break the glass, I thought to myself, because it is a symbolic gesture. Try to understand that within myself, things were breaking of much more importance than a glass, and I'm happy for that. Look to your own inner struggles and break this glass.
Our parents taught us to be careful with glasses and with our bodies. They taught us that the passions of childhood are impossible; we should not remove men from the priesthood, that people do not perform miracles and that no one goes on a journey without knowing where he wants to go.
Break this cup, please, I thought to myself, and release of all these damn misconceptions, the habit you have of only doing that which everyone agrees with.
“Break this glass,” I say again.
He fixed his eyes on mine. Then, slowly, he slid his hand over the table, to touch the glass. In a quick movement, he pushed it to the ground.
The sound of broken glass caught everyone’s attention. Instead of covering up the broken glass or apologizing, he looked at me and smiled. I smiled back.
“Don’t worry about it!” yelled the waiter from across the restaurant.
But he did not listen. He had already risen from his seat, grabbed me by the hair and kissed me.
I pulled on his hair, hugged him with all my strength, bit his lips, felt his tongue moving inside my mouth. It was a kiss that had a lot attached to it, that had been born along the rivers of our childhood, when we did not understand the meaning of love. It was a kiss that was suspended in the air while we were growing up. It had traveled around the world through the memory of a medal, which was hidden behind stacks of books used to study for a public job. A kiss that had been lost many times before and had now had been found. At that moment, the kiss ended years of searching, disappointments and impossible dreams.
I kissed him hard. The few people who were at the bar must have looked and thought they were seeing just a kiss. They did not know at that moment, that kiss was the summary of my life, of his life, the life of any person who hopes, dreams and seeks his way under the sun.
In that minute, in that kiss, were all of the happy moments I have ever lived.

All power is within and is absolutely under your control. There is no power outside of you. The key to accessing all power is to realize that all power is within you. The only reason why people are powerless is because they think that power is outside of them. Whenever someone moves into a state of power, it is always because they found the power within them. This is the great secret of having or not having power. And because power is within, it is absolutely under your control. This is the secret of control.
If life is worth living, it is worth living powerfully. Those who seek greater power are seeking greater life. Those who do not seek to become powerful are not seeking life. It takes power to be prosperous, it takes power to be healthy and it takes power to be free. Power is a must for anything to be created, and the first priority of anyone who wishes to experience good is to become powerful. The key to power is knowledge. It is knowledge that you are a creator and knowledge of the power that exist within you.

the symbol of koi

According to the  Japanese legend if a koi fish succeeds in climbing the falls at a point called "The Dragon Gate" on the Yellow River it would be transformed into a dragon and based on that legend, it became a symbol of  aspiration and advancement.
More generally, the Japanese associate koi (carp) with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose. Because of its strength and determination to overcome obstacles, it stands for courage and the ability to attain high goals.
Others say it means good fortune and  luck.

my body gets tired, but my heart and soul does not.
be like a koi fish, become an endless movement of strength.

pain will always be pain

no matter how hard you try to deny it, or mentally block it, pain, in all its forms, will always be pain.
what's good about accepting this fact is that you can start your day, restart your life in a way that you have to deal with it, but not necessarily to breathe, eat, sleep it.

feel it. but not to the extent that you will let it stay into your system forever. or let your mind and body use it as some sort of a placebo effect. You begin to feel free of the pain when you act free of the pain! Don’t talk about the old pains, don’t ritualize it, and act calm when you remember one. Your brain will notice how you are and will recondition the neural network patterns until the time they become routine.

as lex luthor had said " pain is a part of life, but you must not let it fool you."

you must embrace and let go of pain to become an endless movement of strength.

some seek forgiveness, others escape

hey unfaithful, hey ungaceful, hey unloving, i will love you.

Moving on

in order for us to regain what we have lost, we must keep moving forward.
the 10th spiritual gift is the gift of goodbye.practice the art of detachment.
having problems how to deal with pain? loss? burdened?

Life is easy. You make decisions, you dont look back.

"There is a difference between living and just breathing. Choose to live. Use your gifts and your days wisely, deliberately. You were put here for a purpose." Unknown

Decide who you want to be.

Be brave to embrace life.

Choose to move forward.

Take those steps now.

Forgive but not forget, or you will be hurt again. Forgiving changes the perspectives. Forgetting loses the lesson- Paulo Coelho

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong- Mahatma Gandhi

Think for a moment in your life when someone hurt you, and when you hurt someone, both intentionally and unintentionally. Ask for forgiveness, forgive them. And go on your path of becoming better than yesterday. That way is one of the most important path to becoming an endless movement of strength.

let it go.
